As of March 5th, 2011, according to all known search engines, these two words have never been used together in the English language as a phrase. Nor have the words, “Semantic Griefer”.
I am therefore claiming first use and licensing both under Creative Commons.
The phrase as I coin it means “To engage in a discussion or debate using an arbitary and ever-changing set of ‘rules’ which allow the user to repeatedly distract, insult and undermine his or her opponent with impunity while declaring the moral high ground, and rendering any objections to the practice as a personal attack.”
I intend to put the phrase to use at some point in the future. However, if you happen to use it, please link back to this page. Thank you.
